- Dr Hend Hanafy (University of Cambridge) will present ‘Sentence Mitigation: A Remedy to the State’s Legitimacy Deficit’, with comment from Professor Julian Roberts (Centre for Criminology, University of Oxford).
- Dr Kate Leader (Queen Mary, University of London) will present ‘Defendants as Victims: A scoping review of vulnerability, victimhood and safeguards from charge to conviction’. Comment tbc.
- Dr Rebecca Helm (University of Exeter) will present ‘Pleading Guilty when Innocent: Pressure, Discrimination, and Wrongful Conviction’, with comment from Jacob Hallam KC, 6KBW
