CBA: Young Bar Committee Message and Support – 28.06.22
Dear Members of the Young Bar/ Young Criminal Bar,
As the escalated action begins, we appreciate that this will be a very difficult time for many young barristers at the Criminal Bar whichever way they chose to act. As Criminal Barristers we do our best to help others and give our clients the best representation possible, however, in doing so we often forget to look after ourselves.
We want to ensure that our members are aware of where to get help if help is needed. We have produced a document designed to signpost anybody in need of assistance, whether it be in regard to wellbeing, bullying or financial.
We hope that the ‘Available Assistance Guide’ will give anybody who needs it the relevant information on how to seek help. As ever, we remain available to be contacted to assist in individuals cases where needed so please do not hesitate to contact us if you feel you need some help from us.
It is essential, now more than ever, that you look out for your young bar colleagues and check that they are ok and that you let us know if there is any way in which we can provide you with assistance.
Best wishes,
The Young Bar Committee
Criminal Bar Association
