SOS Silence of Suicide is a mental health charity which seeks to eradicate the stigma, silence and shame surrounding suicide and all mental health illnesses.
Founded in 2015 by Michael and Yvette Mansfield, originally as a social group, attaining charitable status in 2017. We are a registered Charity 1175795
Our core service provision has, until recently, been face to face public and private group meetings nationally.
However, in light of the Coronavirus epidemic, we have sought alternative methods of being available to the vulnerable and fragile.
We opened a support line for anyone who is struggling and this is open 7 days a week between 4pm and midnight. You don’t have to feel suicidal to call us. You may be lonely or struggling to cope generally.
We also host online public zoom meetings for anyone to join and discuss how they are feeling. Keep an eye on the Events tab on our website for updates.
SOS very much hope to roll out their face to face meetings later in 2021 or 2020.
Should anyone reading this feel they might want to volunteer for us, please go to https://sossilenceofsuicide.org/volunteer-form/ and we will get back to you
In the meantime, please stay safe and well.
